So far (crossing fingers) I haven't anything but good things to say about the Sirui CF tripod and their head that I've been using. It's been flawless in fact. Much better than the Gitzo I'd been using, and worlds ahead of my entry level Manfrotto that I used to use.
Like others have said, it's more worrying that their support line is disconnected. It looks like they've pulled down their sub-sites, meaning you might be best off just contacting them directly via email. We've dealt with them a bit here at Think Tank Photo (I'm not sure why actually) and they've been great. Here's their support form - http://www.sirui.com.sg/index.php/contact/customer-service-a-support
In general, we've had really good luck communicating and getting support from companies in Singapore. Let us know how this goes.

Yeah, I should have clarified this a bit. The legs on the Gitzo have been fine. I HATE the ball head. It's the one with the compression lever (??) on the side and it's impossible to use in the dark. I do a lot of late night photography, and I like to be able to not have to use a light when working with my gear so my eyes stay adjusted to the ambient light. With another Gitzo head, I'm sure they're in the same ballpark.

An Alfa fan... Spider or Coupe? I've owned a number of Fiats over the years. Then I smartened up and went back to German cars. Seriously though, I'd love to own an old GTV (as long as I didn't have to work on it, fine parts for it, etc).
Sorry, um, photo content. Yes, they're great cars to photograph with tripods. Preferably tripods you can get support for when they do end up breaking.

Only one Italian machine in my past... a Ducati motorcycle. Wonderful bike, when it ran without overheating. When it was sitting on its two wheels and the kickstand, it was kind of a tripod. ;-)

The Singapore distributor is very good, but for purchases made in the US, it would be better to go directly to the US distributor - Argraph Corp. at www.Argraph.com or call 201-939-7722. You can ask for Alan at the service department or you can contact him by email at [email protected]. Working directly with the distributor guarantees a quick reply and they will be able to help with any problems or questions.

Thanks for popping in! I recommend fixing your English, US based sites so that the numbers work or that they redirect to an active website. Bad numbers and broken sites aren't confidence inspiring for customers.

Jeff:
How about sending out a tripod for review? I've been sent unsolicited samples from Feisol, PhotoClam, and SunwayFoto (twice), and published well-received reviews on this site. My reviews have been honest, detailed, and unbiased, and I'd be more than willing to take a good, long look at one of Sirui's current tripod offerings, if you'd care to accommodate the readers here on FM. Perhaps something equivalent to a Gitzo 2-series, as that may be the most popular size?

My reason for replying is to help a customer with a problem. The product was sold in the US and the US distributor (Argraph Corp.) is very responsive to inquiries and customer service. The dealer - in this case B&H Photo - could also help.
The Canadian distributor that was contacted - well, an attempt was made to contact them - is no longer an active distributor. A new distributor will be in place soon. We do not have control over their website, since they are independent companies.
