Last couple of days I have tried only back button AF with one shot AF using only center point, it seems that my keeper rate is increasing considerably. I need get more practice on how use best use this option going forward as part of my workflow.

I only use AI Servo for portraits when I'm trying to catch a photo of my little one year old boy. He moves a lot! Otherwise, my camera is set to one shot. It works much better. I use a 5DC, which has very similar autofocus to to the 5D MKII
