This sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) is a popular landmark on the campus of the University of California, San Diego.
While it's common for students to embellish Sun God with items such as sunglasses, headphones and a cap and gown in the Spring, it's shown here in its "natural" state.
Due to the statue's vivid colors against a background of eucalyptus tress, Fuji Velvia 50 film was the choice of media for this photograph. Thanks for taking a look!
I wish I could take credit for the colors, but they are all Velvia without any post processing. I really enjoy digital, but I continue to shoot with my old F100 film camera when the setting is right. It's harder to work with, but there's just something special about film.
