That or they didn't want the general public to have the camera before the Olympics and go through the scrutiny of determining if there were any AF issues.

Good point. If the general (internet forum) public determined that there were AF issues, obviously the Olympic photogs would not be able to get the bodies to focus. Because they don't know about any problems, everything will work. Converse placebo effect?
I just found out that Canon is offering CPS members a free roll of paper towel to wipe off the drool off their face after looking at the images of all that gear!!!
