In the absence of any better options I still find the zoo a fun place to go and take a few shots. Here are a few from a recent visit to the Cotswold Wildlife Park in the UK.
Great roundup of the Zoo inhabitants Paul.
I like the Meerkat tops too and also the Guinea Fowl abstract.
Always wondered what was the name of that flower

I'm not usually a zoo fan Paul but I saw they were yours so I felt compelled to look. I think you did an excellent job of removing the zoo, that isn't always an easy thing to do. Having succeeded at that the shots become a lot better. These are all well composed, sharp and a delight for the eye. Excellent job and I hope you can get a break in you weather
Nice job on these, Paul. The secret for zoo shots is to shoot tight and to check the bg as your images are showing These look all very nice, in particular the Meerkat.
The Allium Flower (Garlic Flower) with its bg looks very nice as long a s you don't try to smell it In Italy is called Aglio
BTW, Aglio, Olio and Peperoncino make a great spaghetti dish

I spent a wonderful couple of visits to the Cotswald Wildlife Park when I lived in the UK...it is a wonderful place and I understand why you like it so much. Your shots do not convey a zoo experience....very nice photos andwell done to isolate the animals from man made items...

Zoo's are a great place to hone your skills, practice and create unique compositions.
Your turkey portraits, initial rhino, guinea fowl plumage and meerkat well conceived!
