There was no shortage of fish in the Brooks River and the bears were happy to take advantage of them. I saw one bear eat over 20 fish in one day with each fish equivilant to 7 Big Macs with fries. Finally it would just catch a fish and let it float away with out eating it. The smaller younger bears seagulls, ravens, eagles and others enjoyed the feast left behind.Bruce

Great set Bruce! Really like the white water in the first one almost looks like a B/W.

Thanks Russ, the water kicked up a mist that makes it very difficult to get good exposures but really makes the scene, dramatic. Bruce

That's what I was aiming for.

Trip was fantastic. Highlight was definitely Katmai followed closely by Denali. Already started thinking about next year....

No shortage of bears or salmon eh Bruce. Great images in what sounds like pretty trying conditions. You certainly wouldn't know from the quality of these shots that the weather was that awful. Looking forward to more.

Thanks Ken, I had to over expose by 1.5 stops at least to get the bears exposed well. I was indeed difficult and really had to pay attention. Bruce
