Very nice shots; great captures.
I'd suggest two things in the post processing to optimize these special images:
1. Change the sharpening settings to avoid the unnatural white and black rims around the birds.
2. Use one of the fill light or highlight-shadow control adjustments to reduce the darkness of the shadows (always a problem with white and dark birds in harsh sunlight).

Thanks for the nits. Sharpening - I agree with you. I must have a hitch in my workflow.
They look good in LR, then they get an extra sharpening when I export. I think that is where it is happening. They look good when I use Preview to view them, but they go bad when I view them in the browser. Must be right at the sharpening edge. arggg.
