Probably want to add a price diff!
+1
If a $3k + $$$ lens FF cam can't out perform a $1k + $ lens by a noticeable margin then Nikon had best get out of the camera business! Actually I was impressed at how well the OM-D stood up.
In addition to the price diff should add the pix later in the thread showing footprint and camera size.

In my country the Oly 7-14mm is actually a little more expensive than the Nikon lens...
What are you guys talking about? The Nikon 14-24 is more than double the price of the Lumix 7-14. How can it be possible for the Lumix to be more expensive ... in any country or currency?
On PSM I see a cheapest price of the Panasonic of 969 Euro, and of the Nikon for 1617 Euro, both for Germany. In Holland, I see the same price at Kieskeurig for the Panasonic, but 1489 Euro for the Nikkor.
Maybe someone was looking up the Olympus 7-14mm for Four-Thirds, which is a lot more expensive?
I paid $888.95 on Monday for 7-14 directly from Amazon. Today it is listed as from $1125 from some questionable sellers. It is listed at $899 at B&H but out of stock. The Nikkor 14-24 is $1996.00 at B&H as of a few minutes ago.
I have only shot a few frames with it but it feels really good. A question I have is does it auto correct for distortion on an OM-D5 when shooting RAW? I wouldn't think so but the shot below has only some minor skewing on the top right to straighten out the line and to me it looks really good distortionwise for a 14mm equivalent lens. No other distortion corrections were made in either LR or PS so right out of the gate it is WAY better than my Canon 24-105, 24-70, 17-40 was or my Nikkor 20mm is.
This may seem weird but I had the Nikkor 16-35 as my next purchase but now when I need ultrawide I am just going to pull out the OM-D5 with 7-14 on it instead of changing lenses.
The Lumix 7-14 sells for $888.95 (725 Euros) in Adorama. Even with the import tax or duty plus shipping cost, it has to be cheaper for you guys to order from a mail order store in USA. Or buy it on eBay.

VAT is 19% and the customs guys also take something. I think I normally pay +26.7% on top, and shipping will be much more expensive. Furthermore, the warranty probably won't be there, so in the end, we can just envy you your prices, but not much more.

Sorry I thought the OP was the thread generator at DP, I understand that hot linking is not cool
I shot the images and created the thread at DP. I didn't post the links here because I was lazy and didn't think an extra link would be too onerous. Btw, the image links are working for me. I also posted raws to that thread.
