We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world.

Norm, Anna, happy, Hi guys!! Thank you so very much for the inspiring words. I truly appreciate it. RodinsMuse, sent me a little history of the weeping Buddha, I thought I'd share. Thanks Anna.

There is a story about two warriors associated with the weeping Buddha. The warriors often faced each other during several battles. Both the warriors used masks as part of their costumes as a result of which they couldn’t see their opponent’s face. Following several such confrontations, the older warrior triumphed over the younger warrior. The younger warrior was killed. When the older warrior took off his mask, he realized that he had killed was his own lost son. Seeing this, the older warrior – who is none other than the weeping Buddha – began to cry.

It is believed that the weeping Buddha takes away the grief and troubles of the world. In return, he bestows peace and provides strength to those who rub his back.

this is an incredible picture, but it is very confusing to me. What is going on in the background? Is there a storm going on in the ocean? This was had me looking for a while, still not 100% sure what everything is I am seeing...

Mike, your entry serves as a reminder that oftentimes the choices we make, while seemingly insignificant at the time, prove to have materially altered the course of our lives, and in many cases, to have shaped the course of history.

As always, I appreciate both the depth of the thought processes and the creativity depicted in your photography.

A typically brilliant shot, Mikey, my friend! Your creativity and execution never ceases to amaze.

I have several of these weeping Buddhas although I never knew the story. I always thought one could turn it on its back and it would be a person doubled over in laughter, so it all depends on how one looks at things. I'll have to shoot a shot sometime of the "Laughing Buddha".

Warm regards,

Endre
