This lens focused surprisingly well in this situation as the birds were coming at a good clip. It did better than my 135dc F/2.0 which failed miserably over 50% of the time hence why I switched to the 24 1.4 in hopes of capturing some of these shots.

Updated the apertures on my starting post. I could never get to 1.4 in the daylight as the shutter speed couldn't get high enough.

Cool

even at f/3,2 the wide angle will give you a lot of DOF. Everything from a few meters and up to 25 meters will be sharp

Nice set, necessity often opens our eyes to different perspectives and trying equipment we normally would not.

True. I used to have a 24-70 but found myself mostly shooting at 24, hence the switch to the 24 1.4. Primes force to work with what you have.
