Could this be the origin of the term, canned music?
I love to shoot vintage things of this nature, and I often browse through antiques stores, picking up props that catch my eye, not knowing how or when I will use them in a photograph, but invariably I find a way, sometimes months later. But of course, nothing like this.
I am curious about your choice of background. In my opinion it detracts from what could otherwise be a powerful photograph.
Fascinating collection of wonderful old stuff. But, I have to join with Robert in wondering what's with the peculiar background? Does it represent the pops and scratches that are on the old cylinders? Wish I could hear some of those.
Thanks Robert and Endre, I agree it wasn't my best choice of background but I thought a plain white background would be worse and didn't really have time to change to something else, Im thankful for your opinions thats what makes me want to try harder next time.
