During my recent visit to Wilpattu National Park I was fortunate to sight a Sri Lankan Sloth Bear. Sri Lankan Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus inornatus) is not an easy find in Sri Lankan National Parks. On our second day inside the Wilpattu NP our group met this bear around 8am. The lighting was not enough to get the details out considering the dark black nature of the subject. To lower the noise and to preserve the details, I shot these captures handheld at ISO 400 with 1/60 sec shutter speed with my non-IS 400mm prime. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks Tim. What else to do other than handhold when your two buddies in the jeep mount their big guns on tripods inside the jeep and covering the view. Glad I was able to capture few usable shots.
