Beautiful set cputeq! Where is that? Looks very warm for thanks giving times, makes me quite jealous right now as we currently have a grey foggy weather and around 5 degrees C in the south of Sweden :-P
Bigkidneys oh I forgot that the 5D didn't have built in flash. I rarely used the built in flash on the D700, the SB-900 gave me faster control as a master flash but it was still nice to have the ability with the built in flash.
I think the cheapest way to start out with it may be to pick up a cheap third party flash with a slave sensor. Either used or new one. However, I'd probably go with a native Olympus one as you will be able to control it via the small EM-5 flash as well as pop it on the camera and have full TTL support where the flash can work in full auto.
The reason I haven't picked up the new Oly FLR-600 is because there doesn't seem to be a way of connecting a pocket wizard... will have to look in to it further :-)

Thanks everyone for the comments
This is the Gulf coast of Mississippi, Wilbus. My extended family (collectively) owns a large house just on the water. The few days I was there it was great 60F weather during the day, with cold mornings and an excellent view
someone gave me up a Raynox 2020 teleconverter; I tried it on my 75/1,8; handheld, since I still havent't the right adapter. I guess it's not too bad for a 360mm f:1,8 equivalent
the shot is WO, jpg.
That's a situation where one of these makes great sense. I'm assuming AF isn't impacted at all (the camera shouldn't have any issues, though I'd imagine using IS is out due to the inability to set the correct focal length). How's sharpness? The web reduction looks good, but it's hard to tell from that.

AF doesn't suffer, but MFD becomes quite long, about 15/20 feet, I guess; sharpness is really good, even in the corners if you stop down a little; the major issue seems to be CA, but I guess that LR would fix it.
As soon as I get the adapter ring I'll be able to show some more eloquent samples
