Agreed! That is truly one stunning shot. I'd print that one BIG. What's the lens/shot data? (Exif is missing)

So have most OM-D users upgraded from the 20f1.7 to the 25f1.4?
The 20f1.7 seemed to be first good prime, so I assume their were many early MFT users.
Now I see so many photos on this thread using the 25f1.4.
Is it that much better? Is it the DOF, AF speed, bokeh?

^ - I own and use both. The 20 1.7 is a very good lens in its own right - even though I own the 25 1.4 I don't see myself selling the 20 1.7, at least not yet.

These were taken with the 20 1.7 on my old GF-1....

I did, but recently got the 20/1.7 again for its nicer AOV and smaller size.

Everything is a little bit better with the 25/1.4, so overall it's preferable. But it's much larger, especially with the hood on, and of course narrower.
The worst thing with the 20 is the terribly slow and inaccurate AF. Sometimes it just hunts for five seconds without finding anyting, even in good light.

Not sure I could call the 20->25 an "upgrade" due to the fairly significant difference in field of view. I would love to have the 25, but I would not see it as a straight up better version of the 20...

I just jumped into the OMD fray, and am really loving this little guy! I'm in the process of building my kit (well, that's an ongoing thing), and I have a question for all you PL25 shooters. On the OMD, are any of you getting the "rattlesnake" (not my term) sound? This is supposedly caused by the aperture blades sort of jerking as the camera seeks proper exposure. I witnessed this with an OMD and the PL25 in the store and decided I didn't like the sound. My question, finally, is, does this bother anyone or do you even notice it happening?

I currently have the 12-50 kit, the Pany 12-35, Pany 7-14, and the Oly 75-300.

Thanks,
Randy

Yes, I get rattlesnake.

Here's the thing, though - it seems to happen to me a lot more in artificial lighting, which is why you might notice it much more in a store than if you're walking around in a naturally-lit place. I HAVE heard it in sunlight, but it seems to get berserk in some situations, and every time it it really acts up, it seems to be due to artificial light.

That definitely doesn't dissuade me from using the lens - it's a gem.

So, it doesn't affect the performance at all, just somewhat of an annoyance?
