Still having more than 2k unprocessed files with birds from my last 3 trips in Thailand. more than 50% are Kingfisher birds. Got my new Photoshop upgrade so it's time to do something
Nice to see the king of kingfishers posting again here. Super images here Lars. I was wondering whether you see the same multi-ring dark and light pattern emanating from the second kf and going out about 2/3 of the way that I do. I don't see this in the first kf so I don't think it's my monitor.

Thanks Eric, I'm not sure what you mean? But it's two different kind of Kingfishers. The first one is a Common Kingfisher. And the second a Collared Kingfisher. They are also shot at different days and places.
Beautiful captures, Lars, with pleasing colors and bg and fine detail. Nice to see you posting again.

P.S. I believe what Eric is referring about in the second shot is a bit of posterization probably due to the resizing for the Web.
It got my curiosity and looking carefully I can see what he is talking about. Little tone brakes in form of circles centered on the bird. Easy fix
