Sutra is a fail. It doesn't really matter if you like it - it is still going to get mixed with Karma Sutra to the rest of society.... and I promise you that is a very classless thing to be associated with in the wedding industry. I realize you want to introduce some Indian into your business name, but this is not the way to do it. Go back to the drawing boards - or use your name in the title.
The issue is Indians may know what the Sutra means, but you are limiting your market if you set your name to Sutra. And even then - an Indian wedding planner who has American clients may not be able to sell your brand with the name Sutra. I urge you to listen to the majority.

Loving it (because it's interesting, evocative, or otherwise loaded) is not the same as analyzing it from a branding perspective, which is what you've asked this crew to do.
I like it, too, but I wouldn't recommend using it except in an effort to target a specific niche client in the US.
Nyx is Greek, not Indian, but you might be at least on the right track with your FM user name, as someone suggested, above.
Most of all, don't feel bound to include "photo" or "photography" in either the name or the URL. It's a lot less important than most business owners imagine. You can include descriptive matter like that in the logo without making it a formal part of your name or mark.
Yadava is the kind of name we wish we could make up and use for our studios. I'd love to use that name! I can almost see the pictures without seeing the pictures.

Yep, you are right. I have been limiting my options with words like photo etc.
Cant help it guys. Folks outside of the forum seem to LOVE Photosutras.com. Like seriously everyone else who is not a photographer, seems to love it.
I am thinking of trying it for a couple of months and see how it goes.
