Went to Smoky mtn national park and saw a family of these birds while driving.
There was no car on the road at all (saw maybe 0 cars in 30 min drive).
So I stopped my car and took some pictures. Saw mom and dad plus three babies in between them.
They slowly went into woods.

I am not so much fond of birds, so I just wanted to know what kind they were so that I could at least google it.

Those are hens, Female Wild Turkeys.

Haha, yes they are all hens. If there were a Tom you'd see the famous fan-like tail feather. Good shot, especially since turkeys are an extremely difficult bird to photograph. Very skittish and usually run away when approached.
