All: D200 + 80-400 VR + 1.4x TC @ 560mm, ISO 800, 1/1000, f8, fill flash (SB910 + Better Beamer)

These are also from Sunday�s outing to the unusually empty Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area. I took these during a quick pass under the osprey tower as I don�t want to chase mom from her nest and chicks. She is the most tolerant osprey I�ve met and a stunning bird. I hope you enjoy these.

Great shots Morris,

I'm envious of how close you got to this one. I went to see some ospreys a couple of weeks back but I couldn't get anywhere bear the nest. Even shooting with a 600mm lens on a 7D I couldn't get a shot worth having.

Morris- the Peanut Gallery is in awe of these spectacular images.
Momma osprey is very tolerant, but she sure looks like she'd be happy when you got out of there.
