...nobody picked up on the humor in that one?? It wasn't spam, it was a joke. As in, how on earth does the Detroit City Ballas get an ad on FM? And what kind of ad was that? You click on the link and it takes you to a youtube music video! lol. Who is "Big Pumpkin"?? That was Upgrayedd from the movie 'Idiocrisy'. There are two d's "for of a double dose of his pimping"...lol. Didn't realize photographers were such a sappy bunch! Seriously, I have 3600 posts over nearly 6 years and what...that was how I gained your trust to finally promote my ulterior motive...being the Detroit City Ballas??
Seriously though, I'll admit I missed the humor. Too much of that type of stuff floating around on the web to give any of it a moment of time. Anyway, I personally thought your FM account had been hacked.
That thread was dripping with sarcasm, I filled it to the brim! You should have laughed once you read the words "Detroit City Ballas" lol. Anyway, corndog humor fail.

i took it as sarcasm
maybe because i'm from NY metro area where sarcasm is king
I think it was a satire or parody. Definitely not sarcasm. Sarcasm is a sharp or biting remark.
BTW: The guy in the military uniform was Mike Judge, creator of "Beavis & Butthead", and writer/director of "Idiocracy" and "Office Space". I didn't realize that until Corndog referenced "Idiocracy", a film more memorable for the stupids watering the dying crops with Gatorade instead of water. The present day equivalent is the political climate in Washington. However everyone has a shot a being intelligent again by simply checking actual facts.
And Detroit City Ballas (what's so funny?) is a apparel store in Detroit. Google it.

Thank you for proving that it's possible to dissect something long enough until it is no longer humorous. You are correct, there is definitely no humor here.

I think those were your words.
Humor shouldn't have to "dissected", and in this case it wasn't. You might remember I used my own brand of humor based on the photograph you included. There was no back story, or something you had to know to make it funny. You probably didn't think my stuff was funny because you were so focused on your post getting applause. Some comedians make me laugh, others not so much. But your humor was just one post. I wouldn't save up for years to unleash satire. Just do it and refine it in the process.
You're welcome. The word "assessment" might make your comment sarcastic... but whatever. Seriously, nobody really cares what the hell we post here unless it breaks some rule. We both have pseudonyms, post in cyberspace, and live someplace in the United States. Your posts aren't life altering, although I can't say the same about mine (joke). I couldn't pick you out of a lineup and the same goes for you. I think we're safe.
It's a bummer that inflection is so difficult to convey through text and we only have those five smileys to help out. Well, maybe only four since I have no clue what the last one is...though it kind of makes me think of a butthole.
