Has anyone else been denied shipping by B&H or Amazon lately? I'm currently overseas and have placed orders before to my APO address with no problems. Now it seems I can't even place an order because they're automatically saying they're not offering shipping to my location at this time. I haven't been able to find any news articles about USPS restrictions on anything besides lithium batteries...what's the deal?!

Yes, but then shipping would be outrageous. In addition to some photography equipment I wanted to order an LCD tv and possibly a second computer monitor.
free super saver works for apo some things on amozon can not be shipped to an apo but it should tell you what exacly wont ship i order stuff all the time from amazon and have it sent over here

Recently the USPS enacted a rule that no lithium batteries or products which contain or include a lithium battery could be shipped internationally or to an APO/FPO/DPO address. USPS is the only shipper which services APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
When this was enacted we had no computerized method to distinguish 'kosher' from 'non-kosher' items so temporarily disabled all APO/FPO/DPO shipping, Yesterday I participated in a meeting wherein we outlined phase one of our system to circumvent this problem and resume shipping. It is an imperfect system and phase two will be more streamlined and elegant, but half a loaf is better than none.
We hope to have phase one rolled out this week. We regret this temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
