p.1 #1 · Burn Area and Kootenay River - Kootenay Park

Every year I try the same spot and come up short but here is my most recent try.

This is an area that was burned in 2003, and is slowly recovering. It is early in the spring but shortly there will be lots of green growth and bears.

The first 2 are really nice. There is something going on in the sky in the last one. noticing horizontal lines in the sky .

I like these - to me, the compositions suit the scene very well by contrasting the tree silhouettes against the motion of the water. The water looks a bit bright on my screen.

I love this river and the whole area. I like the first one the best with the slightly warmer tones.
