p.1 #1 · That spider on the Gitzo

Okay admittedly I feel like a fool because this must be so simple yet I can't seem to figure out why it's not working.
One of the legs on my Gitzo 1541T has gotten tighter to fold and unfold. So I burst out the twin wrenches for the spider knob/connection. But turning multiple cycles clockwise nor counter-clockwise has yielded any result. It's just a screw forgoodnessakes! *frustrated and feeling stupid
Can anyone confirm which way is loosen?

thos are barrel type bolts. the outer bolts are the male the barrel is the female that screw into each other. you need to work with two wrenches on opposite sides to adjust. one to hold one to adjust.

It sucks if you only have one wrench on hand. Been there, done that.

yes it does. but then, if you're smart, you only do that once. plus its Torx. not your average homeowner stuff.

Yes they do use the star-type wrenches but they ship two of them with the tripod and theoretically you should have them with you especially for the traveling type of tripod that folds back over the head.
