p.1 #1 · PocketWizard takes a dive into a pool

My wife and I were out capturing images of a family in their backyard last week. My PocketWizard Plus II was dropped into the pool and cascaded five feet only to settle on the bottom for about 30 seconds. I immediately removed the batteries, dried the unit, and continued the session. Once at home we placed the unit into the oven at 110 degrees for about 20 minutes and then into a Ziploc bag with a dessicator for a few days. I expected the PW was destroyed beyond repair. However,
we went out last night and the unit performed flawlessly. Many thanks to PocketWizard!

Good for PW.

OTOH, I dropped my TV remote into a salt water foot bath in which I was soaking my poor, aching toe on Tuesday night, and it's totally toast. The remote, not my toe. OMG! It was still floating when I grabbed it. It was less than two seconds. Really. Toast!

P.S. keep an eye on your PW. Corrosion is insidious. Like Darth Sidious, but slower.
