THIS IS NOT A DEAL NOR FOR SALE AD NOR ANYTHING OF THE LIKE.
It is me trying to get your thoughts on if you think someone out there might be willing to do this, or if you think I am crazy.
I've been thinking about how to get to a 5D3. Came up with the following. I've got 2 bodies I'd be willing to get rid of to get me to a 5D3. I've also got some non-L glass I'd be willing to get rid of to get to a 5D3.
With this amount of gear, I'd hate to take the time to part it out, but I may, haven't decided yet. I was successful in selling a large lot of Oly gear on that auction site a bit a go to a happy buyer (auction number 180702456940).
I actually haven't even decided to do this yet, but here was where my thoughts were going:
Ready for this? Keeping all of my L glass + Sigma 120-300, and flashes and other crap, but thinking of selling both of my bodies and all other non-L glass to get to a 5D3+grip:
Canon 7D w/grip + 4 batteries + RRS L Plate ($1200)
Canon 1DmkIIn w/2 new batteries + 2 old batteries + RRS L Plate ($800)
Rokinon 8mm/3.5 full manual ($225)

TOTAL: $5635 pieced out for what I have seen lately on the used market. Take out 4% PayPal and call it $400 in shipping, if broken up, nets me probably $5000. B&H 5D3 + pre-order grip + 1 extra battery = $4000. And I get a $1k in my pocket.
Or if I can find someone, do a flat trade for a 5D3+24-105 ($4300 @ B&H).
Or sell as a package for $4635 ($1k off), which equates to $4635 - 4% PayPal = $4450 - $200 shipping = $4250, which should easly cover at B&H a new 5D3 + pre-ordered grip + 1 extra battery.
Am I nuts or is there a possibility someone out there might be interested in a package deal? It is a good chunk of change to get into photography without getting into L glass, but it does get you what I think is a lot of decent glass and 2 solid bodies.

If it were me, with that kind of return, Nikon D800 here I come. Grab a few of their best lenses too. Then decide whether to keep the L lenses and the Sigma and get the 5D III after trying out the competition. If you decide to go Nikon, sell the rest and really beef up your Nikon arsenal. By the way, I am totally invested in Canon but am thinking along these lines right now.

I'd say piece it out, that way if you can't get a straight trade/sale you might be left with a few lenses/misc stuff to sell at a later time and money for the camera.
On a side note, I'd totally buy the 8mm if it's a good copy/8+ condition Pm me
