Topaz Adjust did all the powerful processing in the image. I did start with it in LR4, did a few base adjustments, then popped it into Topaz Adjust. I bought Adjust 4 back a year or two ago, and just thought about loading it to my laptop. Turns out, they gave us a free upgrade to Adjust 5, so I downloaded it and plugged my serial number in. topaz to me, is a cut below NIK processing tools in terms of user mechanics, but the power of Topaz Adjust is pretty amazing. So, it's definitely a $40.00 tool worth having. I do think I framed it in Color Efex Pro from NIK.
It does help to start with great glass. The 28mm 1.4D is an incredible piece of glass.
I will post another one or two here I did.
This one, I did not do the intense color adjustment, but the software was still very usable for detail work, changing the first photo into this:
Thanks on my photos Ryan! There was a thing that happened that wasn't good, I was shooting JPG instead of NEF, and didn't know it until after I had shot. So, I was disappointed in that, but the images came out pretty good. Still feeling my way around with processing, but learning. I think I love the HDR type images with the D800E most. So dynamic.
I should have checked the camera, since I bought it used, but I didn't think to do it. My bad. I have it set properly now.
Where do you hale from? PM me anytime, you want to chat some. good to see you on here too.

Thanks, I actually had that one printed up on an allow box 80cm x 56cm. It was taken in NYC,that is the freedom tower on the upper left - the night we got out there the memorial garden was closed so I went down a side alley and got this shot. It was lashing rain, and there was a thick fog hanging over the buildings, that and the ISO cranked up to 2500 give it a bit of a grainy look but that's what I like about it personally
