Thanks Doug. At my monitor everything looks fine (2013 iMac). No washed out areas. Everything is within the borders of the histogram.
I put the exposure down to -0,25 and replaced them.

300 2.8 with a 1.7TC in 1.2 crop mode (Monkey style but not Monkey quality) about 40% crop

Chris, I will take a look, I been away a bit. Edit: Chris, I looked, and to my eyes, they look much better. I checked on two different model of Dell monitors today, I think they look great now...

28mm 1.4D on D800E: 4.5 seconds exposure time @ f7.1, Singh-Ray Vari-ND filter, adjusted pretty dark, probably 4-6 stop anyway, just guessing. Enhance in LR4, and Color Efex Pro 4.

I decided the first image lacked a lot. So, it is being replaced with this one:
