I think you did very nicely on this... love the texture of the big leaves as the backdrop, and I like your composition too.

As Morris suggested, there are lots of ways of trying to cut the contrast down, but you managed good detail in the blooms given the situation. Nice shot.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Morris, you have a good point and I have been using shaded flowers more and more. I was trying to get the light on the leaf and didn't think until later about the shade idea. I am now carrying a shade as a standard part of the equipment.
