did it in post actually (for size ratio purposes). didn't mind it cuz it leads you down to the rest of her, lots of fashion photogs crop tops of heads and stuff now, breaking rules is now a rule... or something like that.
sometimes what i do, when i have a cropping issues that arise from cropping ratios AND i shot in the studio (as you have) ill increase the canvas size in PS and drag the white over to give me a little bit of room to breathe...and recrop
you may want to give that a whirl and then recrop it with a little more room above her left elbow for less edge tension. try it and let it sit for a bit and see if you like it better...if you dont, well you will be even more sure in your conviction
just trying out new stuff with crops... seeing what works. can't flip through a clothing catalog today without seeing cropped heads and arms. not sure I like it but I'm gonna at least try it.
