i have been using Macs' Iphoto for P/P and have just recently acquired LR 3 and Photo Mechanic.
Could anyone direct me to the best KISS(keep it simple, stupid) tutorials for these softwares?

just an update from an idiot,
i have just used the search feature here and
found a number of threads that directed me to
slr lightroom tutorials and to the shutha workflow plans.
looks like i have my evenings reading set out for me.
if anyone has any other suggestions of even simpler learning
methods, pls hollar at me.

lynda.com has some great online classes for a small monthly charge. Sometimes you can find a coupon on the web for a free week to check out a class. I would recommend the tutorials by Chris Orwig. If you upgrade to LR 4, he also has a fantastic set of tutorials available. I would upgrade to LR 4, just to take his tutorials on the product. They are very comprehensive. You might consider taking the LR 4 tutorials instead of the LR 3 tutorials, even if you are using LR 3. You can play a few of the segments in the classes for free to see how the training works.
