The domain i would like to buy is taken, its not active and i doubt it has ever been.
Via whoisdomain i was directed to Sedo - where i could make an offer to buy the domain, but are they trustworthy - or can you recommend someone else?
This is new to me, so any help would be great. Thanks.
Check the domain at hover.com and if you're OK with it then go through them. Hover is definitely legit and sometimes if a domain is for sale they'll list the price that the owner is asking. Hover also won't make you jump through hoops and attempt to sell you all the add-ons.
Sedo is one of the largest domain trading marketplaces out there. Take that for what it's worth.
If the domain is being held by a pro, they likely have it listed elsewhere as well - try looking it up at godaddy etc.
Is it a 'desirable' domain? If it expires soon, you could also consider taking a chance that it won't be renewed and get it on the drop. Whole other discussion.
i just tried hover - it didnt list a price, just that it was taken and suggested me something else. And they did list the price of those suggestions, and everyone with .com cost more then 2-3000$, which is about 10 times more then what i would pay max
I dont know if its desirable - its an unusual nordic name, but its short, which might be the reason for why its taken. Im wondering if i should pay up the 69$ to godaddy and let them find out the price - have any of you tried that service? Im afraid they come up with an obscure price though.
The domain i want expires october 2012, but i assume it will be renewed.
I just became member at sedo as its for sale there and im thinking of making an offer, but before i dó that i would like to contact the seller but there are no contact options or am i not seing it?
Apparently the seller have had 1 bid previous, so the chance of buying it for a reasonable price seems good i Think
I Will send hover a mail, but i Think i prefer to negotiate myself now that i found out that ist possible to do so
