That light/shadow on the GBH is darn cool Ken!, well done in difficult light and you brought out a secluded mysterious feel in it.
#2 has wonderful form, in a case like this you are going to lose the BG detail so you can even go further with more exposure to record the bird properly in exposure and deal with a very white BG which at times can look very cool!
Yes, we are an odd lot in that foreign country you visited. Glad you found some familiar residents to photograph. Nicely done with #4 being my pick.

Nice work Ken. I like what you did with the strong back lighting, you made the best of the situation. The GBH is my pick of the set, I like the mood the shadows impart.
