My first Staten Island engagement shoot. I used the D800, and an SB800 for the beach shot triggered with a Flex TT5. I didn't know the D800 wasn't yet supported by the Flex. So the flash was pretty close. I'm trying to do more BW's and add some grain to the photos, so some of these are my early concoctions.
I like your B&W processing, but when I first saw image 2 my first thought was that it looked like he was about to choke her. I think it's because his hands are low around her neck instead of on the side of her head. If that makes sense.

@Voula. I agree with you. It does look like he was choking her. She just had such a nice expression, so I kinda liked it. LoL. My "directing" powers weren't there much (partied for my bday from 3p-3a the night before!)
@ Stevez32. I have more but the girl only wanted a few photos posted. She's the private type. I have more strobist type photos, but they are locked in the vault per her wishes. LoL.
3 is a great example of an awkward kiss. 2 is a great example of a passionate kiss. The moments before and after the kiss often win. Really dig the mood of these. But yea, ditch 3.
I like the black and white processing. Looks good. There's too much kissing though, particularly puckered lips. No. 3 looks like they may have been born like that.
The new one you've posted would be a lot nicer if she wasn't mooshing his face.
I'd work on posing, something I need to improve also, variety and using the natural light. The natural light ones are much nicer than the flash.
