p.1 #1 · Baltimore Oriole

It was a gorgeous weekend at Lake Chautauqua, NY this past weekend. Thanks to all the hummingbird feeders and and a good supply of oranges, the Baltimore Orioles have found a very comfortable home for now. The are pretty skittish but I manged to get a few good shots. I think this was the best but I'm looking for some experienced opinions. Would you clone out the metal wire or would this image look too contrived without it? Thanks in advance. J

I can't see the image, just seeing a "Content Protected by Owner" message

Would love to see the picture; I struggled tracking down a shot of one over the weekend, in the end I got "a" shot, but not "the" shot.

A very nice shot. I've lived in Baltimore for over a year and still haven't seen one of these beautiful creatures.

Hi,

Fun shot.

Without the wire there would be a bird standing on one foot while riding a floating orange. I'd keep the wire.

Nicely done. I agree with Steve concerning the wire

Thanks everyone for your responses. I guess the wire does give some important contextual information to this image (even though I prefer wildlife shots in a more natural environment). J
