One of my brides last year said she wanted to do a kind of p*** take trash-the-dress shoot. But with a different take, her bridesmaids too. So 3 brides and a story. What was the story? Well, we thought about going to the beach, using my camper van, then the van breaking down, the brides not getting to the church. So they go and get tattoos and end up in a taxi office completely wrecked.
I have loads more from this session that will tell a better story. But that's a few months away so just wanted to post the outline images I've PP already.
This shoot was soooo much fun. Wish all my brides wanted to do stuff like this. Maybe I'll include it in my top packages
my only crit is if you wanted this to be more believable, his gun should have at least been hooked up... last time I checked, wireless tattoo guns haven't been invented
I do notice that it is hooked up in one shot though, so why not all of them?

Hey Josh - I know, in one shot he hasn't got gloves on and the other no line on the gun. But it's just a bit of fun and not supposed to be accurate.
They do want me to go back to do some more commercial stuff for them so we should have blood and some pretty interesting stuff going on next time.

I like 'em, but the tilt in the first doesn't really "add" to the image/composition. I'd straighten it.
Also, are you promoting another photog in that first?
Hey Alan - I agree, the tilt is a little misleading, but the bride on the right is a lot shorter than the other two and kept telling me to make her taller, so the tilt worked for this one as the height difference is quite as obvious as if it were a level crop.
The van is mine and I have Fen Studios logo on the site, an old alias I worked under for my automotive stuff. My accounts are under than name too. Not sure whether to put new brand on there of just leave it? The old germanic sign writing kind of goes with the van.
1. Get rid of the tilt.
3. Pretty harsh light.
4-6. You should have had them hook up the tattoo machines (they aren't called guns as mentioned above).
5. That blue spot on her nose drives me cray!
6. Best of the tattoo set (IMO), unless you remove said blue spot.
7. Pretty tight!
8. Would have been great (to me), if that one chick wasn't looking at the camera.

These are excellent. Well done! Although the bride in #5 does look a little uncomfortable and "off".
Thanks for the comment - it was the look they were going for, rebelling against the wedding and all that. The full blog post in a few weeks will tell the full story
