These are two shots taken just minutes apart in Tanzania -- in the Ndutu area of the Southern Serengetti. Posting both shots to show what a huge difference a small change in height can make in a lot of shots - but probably you already know that. First one was taken out the window of the Land Rover -- second one take from just underneath the Land Rover. Both shots have identical post processing. I posted on my blog about this and other tricks I use to get down -- check it out here:

Hey Ron, Jonathan -- the first shot is not a keeper for me - just posted it to show how much better a shot can be if you get down. Read my blog on it and see some of the other photos posted there. Cheers, Andrew
Nice blog. Well done. Another trick for getting low is to sit in the front of the jeep which tends to be lower and then open the door and really crouch. This can be awkward but is safer and more acceptable to most guides. I also book at lodges that use lower jeeps for this reason. Cheers. I like to use the term "wall worthy" to label my (and others) best stuff. Don
Amen Andrew. I always pay careful attention to shooting angle and corresponding BG as slight variations can make a huge difference as you've illustrated here so well.
These are both cool shots, but I definitely prefer #2.
