D200 + 800mm mirror @ ISO 400, 1/1000, f8

Not the best time for my flash batteries to quiet so I had to pull the shadows out using Photoshop and also bring out the catch light in the eye. I photographed this common tern from about 15 feet at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area on Long Island, New York on Saturday at about noon.
