p.1 #1 · #501 Left Behind

Went to the local bird sanctuary. In the hustle and bustle of all the newly hatch goslings, this little guy seemed to have been left ashore by his parents. He paced back and forth, and cried out a couple of times. He eventually took to the water himself, in search of his family. This is my first WA entry.

Welcome to the WA. Good first entry. The story reminds you of the harsh nature of offspring care in the animal kingdom...human children don't know how good they have it!

I like the story you included with the pic and the shallow depth of field works really well. Welcome to the WA.

Welcome, Cobaltdog...strong entry; you captured a wistful look on the chick's face that perfectly illustrates the story...
Good job here.

I like it. Birds of all types are abandoned and discarded by their parents for various reasons. This image presents the solitary chick nicely.
