p.1 #1 · lastolite quad flash ezybox

Anybody on here have any experience using the lastolite quad flash ezbox setup?

I'm wondering if 4 SB-700's would be powerful enough to provide fill flash on super bright days so I could still get the blue skies in the photos.

I know it would be more efficient to use an AB800 or something similar but it's easier for me to carry around something like an ezybox that folds up relatively compact, not to mention the batteries aren't exactly portable.

Cheers.

it all depends on distance (and you'll get more power staying within sync speed). from 5-10 feet at 1/250, sure. from 20 feet and using FP sync, nope.

Brett,

I'd be doing this relatively close to the subject and staying at 1/250. I only do this sort of shots when I stop down the aperture fairly well. So keeping the shutter to 1/250 shouldn't be a problem. Just trying to create a light source that will be highly portable yet decently powerful.
