After a ton of research, we went 'live' with our first photobooth at our last wedding (May 5). Its a pretty simple setup actually. Backdrop (Savage paper), stands, a-clamps, Alien Bees ABR800 ring flash with the moon unit. A trip to the Party store stocked us up with props... and that was that!
Hope you enjoy the results! As always, we'd love to hear your comments!
nice, this is pretty much the same setup I was thinking of as well. Got my ring flash already, but i trying to figure out a on-site printing solution. What do you use to print on-site doug? setup pic?
I use the breeze system and a selphy printer for onsite printing.
Are you guys on G+? I did a hangout last week with some G3 people and explained the whole setup.
It is very easy
I am really liking the look of the ring flash. Might upgrade to that next. I used those vertical dual monitor stand where I attach the monitor to the bottom, camera at the top, and a flash unit above that. Looks ok but the lighting is the weakest link.
I just built my own. It's lockable system with self trigger. So I don't have to man it and not worry about my equipment getting stolen. I will post a thread on this soon. I just have a few things to finish before I take pictures.
Mike, you just gave me a great idea! I gotta figure out back lighting it now.
