Thanks so much everyone. Truly it is humbling experience to be a part of this project. I am thrilled that the photos communicate well and translate the joy we find in these children.
David, I did take a bunch of photos documenting the work....the thing is that most of the work was simply digging ditches....so after a few of them they will all look the same :-)
Thanks Jon, those additional shots may look the same to you, but I actually *really* like them as well. For me personally, they really add to the story. Everybody looks like they are working their butts off in what is probably super hot weather, but they have these big ol' grins on their faces. Pretty awesome.
#25 and 34 are my fav's but they are all great at showing the life over there.
I have friends that sold everything here and moved their family to Swaziland and live there permanently as missionaries. This was a nice little glimpse into their surroundings.
I always cringe when someone says they have over 20 photos to show, but I have to say that I enjoyed every one of the 39 images you've posted. Wonderful work!
It is not very often that I go back over a set of images more than once. I went over all 39 shots three times. Your photos are really moving and tell a beautiful story. It proves that money cannot buy happiness. These kids are no doubt very poor financially, but from the gigantic smiles on their faces they are very happy and rich in their hearts despite their surroundings. Hard to pic just one favorite, but for some reason #17 stands out to me. Thanks you for what you have done for them, and thanks for sharing your adventure.
Really outstanding images in terms of composition, color, and processing. However, more importantly congratulations to you for providing for those in need. I'm sure it was a very rewarding trip for you and the group. Thank you very much for posting.
ha! and some of us always complaint about everything, they have so little and at the same time so much, they look so happy, they love life. Great job, you captured the moment in a very special way.
