Too freakin cool Tim
Rare to see behavior with this species and a thrill to see!
I like the submissive posture in the opener and I suppose a dog is a dog is a dog
Last frame does look intense but I'll take your word for it there was no blood on the ground
Great find bro
Tom
Yup a dog is a dog. It really was cool to see wild dogs being submissive, the pecking order was clearly defined. The shots in the burst before the last shot would have thinking "what a cute pup" but this one sure holds the eye

Well, well, well my voyeuristic friend ....mighty nice little yotes. Being able to witness such tender moments and some interesting teenage exploratory behavior is such a privilege.
These guys look so much like dogs when they play...then you see the "wild" come out as in your last pix and you take a step backward when they come to lick your hand!
Absolute beauties Tim...nice to see you can do mammalian photography just as well as your birdies And in general they stay pretty much in the same plane most of the time.

Thanks a lot Eric. It really was a treat to have the opportunity to witness and photograph this series. I was out for Bitterns so this was really special!!

Very cool encounter and another natures privilege you got to share, great for you my friend
Karl
Yes it was special to witness these moments. When I first saw the adults I was hoping to be able to set up a shot that would look like something more than a dog in a field. Then this action unfolded before us. Way cool
Thank you Karl
