ACC Womens LAX Tournament, #1 seed UNC (14-2) vs #4 seed Virginia (11-6). At the half, the score was 2-2. In the second half, UNC offense went on a tear. The final score 14-6.
The old saying is "defense wins championships", yet on paper and in photography, the defense seldom gets the attention the offense gets.
In the upcoming NCAA series, I am thinking of shooting a whole game of defense. Nah.....................
"Russ"....to date, my #4 has yet to be beaten to the goal.

Now how in the world did I find this thread Well, glad I did proud papa! Very well done getting action, emotion and some great pix of some very tough ladies. Well done Ted.

he defense seldom gets the attention the offense gets true for most sports and that's odd because the defense is just as intense as the offense.
Superb set UT. Your angles are strong and the expressions you capture while freezing the action speak volumes. I must admit, the nail polish amidst such a physical sport is priceless. Nice to see the feminine side of these warriors.
Ted,
Nice set and congrats on your daughter's continued success.
I don't know lacrosse that well but am curious after seeing your shots. Is there a rule that the ladies must keep two hands on the stick at all times? Seems a bit awkward to give chase or sometimes check always with two hands.
