p.1 #1 · 1ds II cf/sd card compatibility?

Wondering how new a card I can put in the 1ds II without having compatibility problems. Extreme III is no issue, but what about Extreme UDMA 60mb/sec or newer?

I've used Extreme and Extreme Pro in my 1ds2 without issue.

If you have the latest firmware (1.1.6, I think) you can use SD cards greater than 2GB. All cards work but the throughput rate of the 1DsII(5-6 mps) really doesn't need anything more than an Ultra II or a 400X. By that I mean you get no gains in write speed because it is bus limited.

If you download to the computer using the appropriate device, UDMA or whatever, you get real improvements on that end so I get somewhat faster cards simply to reduce the amount of time it takes to move them to the computer. The faster card don't do anything to make the 1DsII any quicker. IMHO it's not quick, it's just great.
