Since Canon screwed up big time with the 1Dx (x stands for expired) will not be available for the Olympics.
So, I decided to cover the "G" letter on the nameplate before I mix with the crowd of the Pros.
I only have to remember to remove that pesky lens cup before shooting, Otherwise I'll have to deal with terrible banding. The rest is easy. I just discovered the G1X "auto-everything" idiot mode, which was engineered especially for critical shooters. Great stuff!
See ya - at the O : -)))

Zyberk, at 1.2 post per year, you seem to be lacking practice with articulating your thoughts in a post.
This is not hard......you just gotta try a bit harder, eh
As we are now being made aware of additional delays in the release of the Canon 1DX it appears the pro-body will not be available for the Olympics this Summer. I propose that their marketing team should have developed a new naming convention for the pro-body whereby "X" stands for "eXpired"!
I believe I have a solution to this dilemma and I would like your feedback. I have decided to disguise my recently acquired APS-C Canon G1X pro-sumer zoom to approximate a full frame 1DX body. In order to do this, I plan on covering the "G" letter on the nameplate before I interact with other professional photographers. If for some reason I do not have my shot settings correct or I inadvertently leave the lens cap on, my exposure will surely be ruined regardless of what Canon camera I use.
The best part about this is that my G1X has an Auto mode which will meter the scene, set appropriate f-stop and shutter speed, and generally produce acceptable images with little input on my end. Great stuff!
I look forward to meeting everyone at the Olympics this Summer!
Petkal, I can't say off topic since we aren't sure what the topic is, but I know you're from
Canada so I want to ask you.
When you say eh, do you mean "ay"? (as in ray, say, day..) Or is the Canadian spelling eh? When I think of eh, I think of someone saying (enter bad idea here) and you go "ehhhh that's probably not a good idea".

You can pronounce "eh" as "ey". "Eh" usually has a questioning quality to it, and more. It can be loosely translated as "right ?", or as you southerners say "huh ?".

I don't know what frightens me more. That you were able to decipher the code, that you had the time to do so, or that we have the time to read this thread.
It still doesn't explain how the 1Dx won't be ready for the Olympics.
1Dx expected in mid-June.
Olympics start July 27.
Maybe the Special Olympics? May 31. If so, then I get it.
My deep condolences to all ruffled, confused and hurt.
It's true. I need practice to become contributor like PetKal. Is he a golden standard?.
Yohan Pamudji - "I understood it. Is that good or bad? " Wow! It makes you bilingual.
JohnShultz. Can anyone deny that Google is a panacea?. A small correction: I didn't ask for feedback.
RobertLynn: I must try your blender mix. Don't ask PetKal anything. Canadian brains are frozen solid - all year round - trust me. Look at his problems with reading comprehension. However he can fluently articulate emotions with: Eh, Ey and 1Dx.
