I am into single ended, 300B triodes based analog audio so manual focus, alt lenses are natural choice for me. Funny, I got into DSLR two years ago just to get macro shots of my cartridges.
mighty fine taste there.
actually the money I got from selling my Rokkor 58/1.2 eventually went into a thorens. life is full of expensive lessons I guess, my eventual replacement is probably going to be the f1.0 noctilux. If anyone wants to sell me one at 1995 prices please pm me
it's impossible to find idlers for a decent price these days; either they are preposterously expensive or you get super lucky and pay 15 dollars for one.
an FM maybe selling an FM 42mm 1.2. I wonder if this would be overkill if I already have a Voigt 1.2 and 1.1
thank you for your opinion/ information. joanlvh

the pen 42/1.2 is a lot more compact than either of those, i'd say it might be worth it just for that. i find it much more coat pocketable than either of the CV lenses mounted on a NEX.
i'm never one to discourage anyone from accumulating more fast lenses though, makes me seem more sane by comparison.

Very true! Just few years ago guys were chasing widows who didn't know what to do with their hubby's vinyl, velves and old hi-fi gear, and eventually gave it all away to 'a good home' but these times are almost over.

I was surprised when I showed up to shoot a wrestling match (my first one) and they turned out all of the lights in the gym except for an overhead spot. Luckily I had the 50 L in the bag . . .
These are great photos! Nice to see that there is a good reason to shoot a lens this fast wide open!
