These are nothing special, but, I just moved up from a 30d to full frame goodness! Very happy so far. Left off my 28-80L and shot these with my 50 1.8 mkII.
Congrats on the 5d. After years of 1.6 or 1.3 crop I am seeing new opportunities with full frame. I have been re-inspired. It won't be long until you are eyeing a 5d3
Hey, regarding your avatar, I once saw the Aurora Borealis near Grayling.
That was the only time I have seen it. I love the northern part of the Lower
Peninsula.
Probably the best camera under $1000, despite it's age, it still produce excellent images.
Heck when my 5Dc dies, I'm thinking of getting another one instead of a 5Diii.
It's good enough for me.
I'm thinking it took me 7 years to go from the DRebel, 30d, and now finally the 5dc.....that it will be 2020 before I can make a 5diii purchase. I am really looking forward to growing with my 5dc. My 28-80L was fantastic on the 30d, but, it is even better on the 5d.
The 5D + 28-80 f/2.8-4L was definitely one of my favorites!!! I'd love to see what the 28-80L would do on the 5DIII!!!
I may just have to do that someday!!! Great images warhawk!!!
Strangely, of the great things about 5D (C) threads is everybody posts nice images instead of whining about banding and IQ of lens cap pics (or threatening to switch to Nikon for pixel peep nirvana)

Very true on the rear LCD, though. I've pretty much accepted that I'll only see how my pictures really look once I get them on the computer
True, I often wondered why my 5D LCD was so dad burn dim and tinted (greenish-yellow). I also owned a same generation Rebel XTi with a 2.5 inch LCD and it was much brighter and more neutral in color.
