Thanks, Ron. It was sort of like a national park when I was there many years ago, so I doubt that the Sally Lightfoots were caught and eaten very often (if at all). Additionally, most are too small to give much meat. And as we both mentioned- they really ARE hard to catch.

Also- about the cold/warm water offshore- the last 30 years or so have witnessed many and profound climate changes, which can affect ocean current temperatures, etc. I'm not sure what the water temps are in 2012.
