haha..#3 for me.
Without him, there won't be excellent images.
Although I kinda like.....

Thanks Reynold. My middle son never fails to poke fun at me when we drive the open road with the top down and he fears my hair will fly off.

Great crane shot Eric! Were the three "critters" each touching a Van de Graaff generator?
Twelfth grade physics and the local science center...brings back memories.
Glad you liked them.

Awesome shots Eric! I do see a slight resemblance in 1 & 3 - maybe the same barber?
Nice job!

Thanks Kevin...yes we both use our good looks and locks to attract the ladies

With the April fools joke, its hard to tell if you’re lost your work or are just blowing wind Eric. I hope it’s a joke as that would be terrible.
All 3 images are great

Well thanks for the concern. The digital memory is A-ok.... The ones between the ears...not so much

Eric- Khai got it right when he suggested you get professional help. He might have meant regarding your HD- but the other would also apply.
The hairdo in #2 doesn't go with the other shots, so it doesn't belong. The crowned crane's 'do is like yours- only classy .
If you were serious about losing your HD- best of luck recovering it.
Charlie
Oh- The crane image is super!

Well Charlie, I already agreed that help would be a good thing...fortunately my hard drives survived the 1st of April...it was a foolish prank but thanks for the sympathy.

Wow that Crane is incredible Eric, top knot is too cool
Do those badboys fly
Neat look at the Owl and this one looks alot like me at 4:30 every morning
I knew being in the bush to photograph those incredible cats was electrafying
Tom
The crowned crane is the national bird of Uganda (just some trivia in case you are on Jeopardy! And yes they do fly and I will post a shot...not great but at least representative.
Why on God's earth are you up at 4:30am? I know why I am but the urologist is sorting that out
And I do like the static cat shots...they do make my hair stand on end
This is a quick grab off the hard drive so excuse that distracting dark spot (probably a bird on the water) above the cranes crown. http://eyelaser.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-of-Africa/DSC0548crownedcraneinflight2/1109523802_PETcZ-X2.jpg
I have a razor or two I could spare Eric, that'll clean you right up
The Crane is a lovely shot, I could look at that one all day! Nice look from the Owl, that looks like a large beast!! I really don't know what to say about the last one. Heck when I saw you you were all bundled up!!!

Hope you can recover your images Eric. Went through hard drive failure myself this week.
Love the images and the "hairy" theme
Birdie
Thanks so much, glad you liked the theme...maybe I should have added a bald eagle...but will save that for another time.
Hard drive failures are a royal pain...but fortunately this time it was only temporary glitch...foolish on my part
I do hope you are redundant in your back up...I have learned, more from family members, just what happens when you have only one copy so I am OCD about backing up to multiple HDs.

A sweet flyer Eric and I do appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this one up
I gotta figure out a way to get over there
I'm so sorry to hear that. I feel for you. I recently lost some of my photos but certainly nowhere near as substantial as your loss. I lost about 3mos worth and I can't afford data recovery so they're just gone forever. I hope you are able to recover your images, and hopefully without breaking the bank. More lovely images in this post!
Good luck!
Ashley
Haha, I just re-read the post more carefully. I almost forgot it was April fools. You got me!! I'm glad it's just a joke, losing images is an awful feeling.
Happy April Fools Day!

Thanks and I do appreciate what you went through. My son lost a portable hard drive to failure and it had photos of a trip to Paris with his fiance. The cost to retrieve the images was outrageous and in the end we only got back stuff he had dupes of and none of the trip to Paris...so a double disaster! I hope he learned to be redundant...I have. I keep almost nothing on my computer's hard drive and use external ones. The original RAW files are kept on 2 hard drives, one portable and one external...I might lose my processed shots but that is just a nuisance not the disaster of losing the originals. When it gets cheaper I would explore an automatic backup to the cloud...right now it's too costly but I expect that to change and then we can all sleep better.
Hopefully you kept the hard drive...one day you may find yourself in a position to try to recover them.
Eric
#1 doesn't fit. It's the only one that doesn't give a hoot. You look like that golf analyst Feredy. Really!! Hope you recover the HD. Great to take your kids to Africa. Nice stuff. Don
