Fabulous shots Karl. #5, #8 and #11 are my favourites. The separation is excellent. You chose your comps well
David
Thank you David, I held off to shoot these to later in the day after chasing a few of the butterflys. Funny, once I shoot one, I just get in a zone and go!
Thanks my friend, glad you has some favs

You are the master of the florals, Karl. These are stunning. I love how you get the dark BG to highlight the blossoms. I had to keep going back to try to pic favorites. I think my picks are #3, 5, 9, but all were wonderful!
Nancy
Ahhh Nance you are too kind! After many years of shooting flowers the comps and the BG's come a little easier and quicker to me as I look for my shots. Glad you enjoyed them and your comments are flattering

Holly flower power Mario!!! Rocking set Karl, nice critter as well. You really are the flora man. But for some reason #8 looks fake around the stem area, looks like you cut the flower out and put it on a cleaner BG, the stem edges and too sharp! Just my thought.

A super set Karl from second to last... The first is nice, but you rocked the florals. 2 is my pick for the great comp, wonderful colors, and exquisite flower. WOW! I would suggest that you tone down the bright spot upper left though ~ Ron
It just the right brightness for me buddy You're killin' me
Thanks Ron a whole bunch!

Very inspiring set, Karl.
I like them all but #10 looks a bit too flashy for me.
#2 is my favorite. Makes me happy just looking at it. Great job.
Chris
Thanks Chris, glad you found most of them inspiring.
#10 is bright and crisp, these Orchids were completely wet from the splattering water in front of them and it energized the light even more. I tinkered once with it and it got weird looking trying to diminish the light but I understand what you are seeing
#2 was a shear treat for me too, so many wonderful colors were presented, just had to find a way to line things up to work the way I wanted.
Thanks so much
Karl

Mrs Sanders, I didn't grow them, some wonderful people like you did and I thank you folks for these opportunities to allow me to have fun
That dang lizard was NOT going to come down out of that tree I sooooo wanted a better shot but got one squeezed between the branches
Thanks on the flowers Tom, I went in for butters and got a surprise and reward of beautiful Orchids, thanks a bunch my friend

Okay CT you put up this many you aren't going to get detailed crits
I'll give you the high and low lights but first off I will say the set just plain rocks Karl. My nits are just that nits, just to keep you honest.
1 is cool
2 is cooler
3 could not have been easy to line up, extra credit
4 not my favorite
5 oh yeah!!!!!!
6 kinda cool how it drops off to the right
7,8 are nice
9
10 a bit too flashed
11 ooooohh, my pick!!!!! :thubm:
12 pretty cool
There, I got carried away anyway. Love the set Karl, I can tell you were really on form for this set
Oh gosh, you called me CT and I only hit a dozen!
On #10 I am not sure what else can be done without lessening the impact of vibrance and whites. These orchids were behind a waterfall that had them completely coated in water so the colors and intensity are magnified from that. Yes I agree it does look 'bright' but I assure you they were quite bold in that setting. I did tinker to back down the highlights but the whites quickly lost their cleanliness and got muddied up. I understand what you are seeing/saying though.
Thanks for the one-by-one looks Tim, most appreciated and respected!
