Natural gas pipes waiting to be installed. Shot with the 24-70 G. There were some kind of cool patterns but it was difficult to shoot with the chain link fence in the way of everything. Trying to decide if I want to crop the left part of the image, and things look a little crooked. Anyway:
I came across this guy today. I've been trying shoot one for a long time, but they always take off when I'm about 150m from them. Finaly I could get close enough for some descent photos
I also took my first real macro with the D800 today. Sigma 105mm macro.

Here is one from tonight at our photo club's board meeting. THe meeting was held at a local restaurant. I was amazed at how fast our server was walking.
Went for a walk today in Stanley Park, Vancouver. I ended up dropping my D800, but the battery grip took the impact and it only had a slight scuff. AF still worked well, no issues whatsoever luckily!
